Monolith. I rarely give a title to one of my work – or at least a simple one – because I think that it often prevents the audience from getting into the painting with their own imagination. But I like the word “monolith“, it is quite secret, not easily approachable. This series is made of ten paintings, ten attempts to grasp this conceptual idea.
Varnish effects have been added to the now usual multiple layers of paint, in order to shape these monoliths and create complex artworks.
